Sijilli ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account info: email address, full name, phone number (optional), emirate.
• Document data: document type, number, issue/expiry dates, notes.
• Document images: scan photos you choose to upload (stored securely and encrypted).
• Family/employee members: name and relationship type only.

We do NOT collect: location data, payment card numbers, or biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide document tracking services and send timely expiry alerts.
• To generate renewal guides and monthly cost reports.
• To use artificial intelligence (via the Anthropic Claude API) for document scanning and automatic data extraction.
• To improve the app experience.
• We never sell your data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on encrypted Supabase servers. Document images are protected with short-lived signed URLs. We use HTTPS for all communications and Row Level Security policies to ensure each user can only access their own data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use limited third-party service providers:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI-powered document scanning (document images are sent for processing only and are not stored by Anthropic).
• Apple/Google — in-app purchase processing.

We do not share your data with other parties except with your consent or as required by law.

5. Your Rights (UAE PDPL)

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021), you have the following rights:

• Access: View all your data within the app.
• Correction: Update your profile and documents at any time.
• Deletion: Delete your entire account from app settings, which permanently removes all your data.
• Objection: Object to data processing by contacting us.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days and cannot be recovered.
